hi everybody
I'm back to this thread because I want to share with you the latest progress of this neverending story!
luckily I have managed to make part of the system work, at least on the front axle the hpf is working properly
here's the sequence of what happened last weekend:
1) in the last 2 weeks I haven't worked on the car which was sitting low on the ground.
I have added one liter of zhm oil in the reservoir because I have realized that the amount of oil I have poured in last time I've been working on it, wasn't enough.
so now 3 liters of fresh oil were in the reservoir, the car was still low on the ground.
2 ) turned on the engine and let it run standing still for around 45 minutes but the car still wasn't raising. played a little bit with the druckregler valve, I can see the front niveauregler moving up and down according to the position of the druckregler valve.
3) the day after I decided to check the niveauregler of the rear axle and try to operate it manually, I think is one of the problems of my hpf; looks in bad shape and there's leaking from the side of it.
therefore I raise the car and put some block underneath so I have enough space to reach the regler.
4) with the engine on I have selected "normal level" on the Hpf puller and started to move the rear niveauregler to check if it was stuck or not, look like it was moving up and down a little bit. not like the one of the front axle but at least some minor movement of the regler arm was noticeable.
5) I put the car back on the ground and surprise! the front end have raised properly, while the rear axle is now very low on the ground, lower than it was before!
6) i keep driving the car around the parking and select the "high level" on the hof puller.
stll nothing happens to the rear end while the front end is super high above the ground; final result:
65 cms from the ground to the wheel arch at the front end, 55 cms at the rear end.
at the same time some oil was spilling out from the reservoir, probably I have put too much fresh oil all in once and now the old oil is coming back from the suspensions?
I'm now looking for the advice of some of the HPF experts; could it be that the expansion bowls are worn out at the back? and maybe also the back regler is to replace?
I'm happy, at least I can drive the car (carefully)
thanks and waiting for your feedback!
