Dear Richard
I am really grateful for your incredibly exhaustive explanation; That's exactly what I need both to go ahead with troubleshooting both to be confident about the end result!
I have to admit that you are 100% correct of my lack of patience, but in my excuse, I can tell you that the HPF is the final chapter of a 2-year history in which every piece too expensive on this car has been replaced.
Mengenteiler blocked? Obviously!
I also agree with what you said about the time spent working on the car; I like it, I'm doing it all by myself, so I know it's not a waste of time or money, but part of the game instead. Is just that sometimes you need a reward; Most of the time you're happy to deal with all the difficulties, but sometimes you feel like it's too much and you just want to throw your car off a cliff.
About the thread:
- The level controller I have mounted is new meaning "new" for the car; I just bought it on eBay. It is a HPF 1 regulator, but the seller also gave me an HPF2 oil-operated link arm, so I can say that the combination of the two is a full-working nivauregler.
(I agree about it might turns out that my old regler was also working)
- I'll go through the entire procedure you've described and I'll note down everything happens and maybe I'll shoot some videos too.
- for how long do I have to let the engine run before reconnecting the hose? I just let the oil flow for a while waiting to have a constant and clean flow?
- the red light of the raising car on the dashboard isn't working I guess, and so is the sport button on the center console.
- I would be more than happy to buy the workshop manual, but where can I find it?
once again, thanks for you very precious answer, thanks to you and all the members trying to be helpful!
