Wenn ich die letzten Zwanzig Jahre W 126 Fahren im Alltag betrachte, dürfte ich beim Verkauf des Fahrzeuges meinen Kaufpreis wieder zurück bekommen.Reparaturen konnten alle in Eigenregie oder in Familienarbeit durchgeführt werden. Bis vor einigen Jahren waren Ersatzteile bei DB auch noch vergleichsweise Preiswert.
Wenn ich im Bekanntenkreis höre, welche Reparaturkosten, Inspektionskosten und Wertverluste bei deren neueren Fahrzeuge auftreten, finde den etwas erhöhten Benzinverbrauch beim W 126 vernachlässigbar.
Wenn man natürlich im Jahr beruflich 40 000 km fährt und gerne Fahrassistenzsysteme nutzen möchte und zig Airbags zur Sicherheit im Auto verbaut haben möchte , sieht natürlich die Bilanz des W 126 Fahrens im Alltag wieder anders aus.
